Join us for a morning of mini basketball camp on Presidents' Day. Open to all boys and girls in grades 1-4.

Spring Travel Basketball

2nd and 3rd Grades

Thursdays • March 26 - June 11

Teams will practice on Thursdays from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m. Practices start the week of March 23 with games to follow shortly after. Schedule will be made in conjunction with other programs. Games are played full court on 10ft rims. Most games will be played on Sunday afternoons and are played with a certified official at the JCC, Westfield Area YMCA or Pingry School in conjunction with Cyclones Basketball. Games may be played on a weeknight as well. Game locations will vary each week.

4th and 5th Grades

Mondays • March 23 - June 8

Team will practice on Mondays from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m. Practices start the week of March 23 with games to follow shortly after. Schedule will be made in conjunction with other programs. Players of all ages and abilities, improve your basketball skills or get ready for a tryout. Lessons can be tailored based on individual goals with instruction expertise in the following areas:

Yuri Brutus has considerable experience in basketball coaching and training, currently serving as the Newark Tech High School (Terriers) Boy's Basketball Coach. During the 2022-23 season, the Terriers were sectional champions (North 2 Group 1). He is former captain of the New Jersey City University men's basketball team where he played as power forward from 2015-2019. He also has coached middle and high school basketball for Roselle Park. More recently, Yuri spends his summer as the Camp Yachad Basketball Specialist and he is an AAU Basketball Coach for the Jersey Force and Diamond Hoops club basketball teams.
