The Village

The Village brings families with young children together through meaningful programs, trusted resources, and authentic connection. A signature offering of the JCC’s warm and welcoming Early Childhood community, The Village is a place to play, learn, and grow – together.

All classes begin the week of September 14; classes are open to the community; JCC membership is not required. 

Ready, Set, School for ages 18-30 months

Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday (option to enroll in both) • 9:15 - 10:45 a.m. • at JCC Annex at Congregation Beth Israel

Ready, Set, School is a joyful first step into the world of school! This class is designed for young children and their grown-ups to explore, play, and learn side by side through art, songs, stories, sensory play, and more. With a focus on building comfort, curiosity, and connection, this program supports both children and caregivers as they begin their early childhood journey.  Ready, Set, School is taught by an experienced JCC Early Childhood educator.

Community Shabbat

Fridays • 10:15 a.m. • Weinberg Rooms at the JCC
Free!

Celebrate Shabbat as a community each week with music, connection, and joy – and of course, challah!  Community Shabbat is open to all families (registration is required) and led by Amy Scicolone, JCC Early Childhood and Camp Yachad Music Teacher.  Guest clergy join us on a rotating basis.

Grown-Up & Me – Registration-Based Classes

Baby Bandstand for Newborns - 3 years

Baby Bandstand provides hands-on, engaging classes filled with live music. Rooted in the belief that music fosters connection, this class supports children in building early literacy, language, and social skills while strengthening the bond between child and caregiver.

Tiny Toes, Big Conversation for Mothers with Babies Under 6 Months

Tuesdays • October 6, 13, 20, 27, November 3, 10, 17, 24 • 10:00 a.m. • at the JCC

A warm, supportive space for mothers and their babies to connect, share experiences, and navigate the early stages of parenthood together. Whether you’re seeking practical guidance, a place to ask questions, or simply a community that understands, this group offers a welcoming environment to feel seen, supported, and connected.  Tiny Toes, Big Conversation is led by Lisa Greenstein, LCSW, PMH-C, MPH, maternal mental health therapist and mom of three.

Price: $120 (8 sessions)

Grown-Up & Me for Ages 9 - 24 Months – Class Pass Program

Our flexible Class Pass program allows families to attend a variety of classes designed for you and your child. Passes can be used across any Grown-Up and Me Class Pass offerings, giving families the freedom to explore different experiences. All classes are led by experienced JCC early childhood educators.

Babies, Books, & Bubbles with Karen Nobile

Enjoy a variety of children’s books in a fun, hands-on, and play-based setting. This class fosters early literacy and a love of reading through stories, songs, and play.

Nature & Science with Rachel Pasichow

Thursdays • September 17 - December 17 • 11:00 - 11:45 a.m. 
Explore nature and science concepts through simple experiments, hands-on activities, games, and play that encourage curiosity and exploration.
