Be a part of a unique JCC/Israel Teen Leadership Cohort!
This program unites teens from the JCC of Central NJ and from the JCC’s sister city in Israel, Arad, to build cross-cultural connections, to immerse in Israeli and Jewish learning and create important international friendships.
Here are the deets:
This program runs from Winter – July 2025.
Applications are open to current 10th and 11th graders who live locally. Each teen will host an Israeli teen for 10 days this summer in their home.
A variety of topics will address life as a Jewish teen including the post-10/7 world, experiences of Jewish teens today, rising antisemitism in America, leadership/volunteerism and everything in between.
The cohort will meet 1-2 times per month (usually Sundays) including Zoom meetings with the Israeli cohort. Cohort participants are expected to attend all meetings so everyone can get the most out of this partnership.
All JCC participants are required to work at Camp Yachad as a Junior Counselor. In this cohort, teens will interact with the Israeli teens for ten days in July at Camp Yachad for in-person learning, leadership, laughing and exploring.
