Infants/Toddlers

Infant and Toddler Program

Our Philosophy and Program Features

We regard infants as individuals and self-motivated learners. We value each and every infant's individual needs and personality and are committed to providing the best care to suit those needs.

We emphasize connection. All caregiving experiences, including feeding and diapering, are important times of unhurried interaction so each and every infant feels secure and nurtured. Every child is assigned a primary caregiver who is the point person for communication with families.

We believe that infants need to explore and have uninterrupted time to do so. Learning is fostered by our responsive teachers who observe the babies and create a safe, challenging and inspiring environment.

Outdoor time is an important part of the infants’ days. Unless weather conditions are unsafe, the children will have outside time every day. Children take stroller walks and also have time in our amazing new outdoor space, Wonderscape.

Our littlest learners participate in our school’s exploration of Jewish traditions, culture and holidays. They participate in our weekly Shabbat gatherings and Jewish books, songs and rituals are incorporated into their daily learning.

Daily Details

  • We are open Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • We provide an exceptional adult to infant ratio – above industry standards.
  • We use the Playground app as our 2-way communication with parents.  If your child is in our program, you will receive daily reports from our staff. These reports include an overview of the daily classroom experience, a feeding, napping and diapering record for your child that day and photos and videos. Parents can use the app to provide the entire teaching team with information about their child's activity prior to arriving at school that day and can share any concerns about their child.
  • Our Infant program runs on the same schedule as the Early Childhood Center, except that classes are in session September-August.
