Join Kean University’s Human Rights Institute and the Diversity Council on Global Education and Citizenship this summer for Human Rights in Action, a summer program designed specifically for high school students looking to elevate their voices and build the tools needed to become a more effective advocate and ally. Week one, Combating Misinformation, will help participants navigate the vast amount of information available to them, and demonstrate how to use social media as a tool to promote human rights. Week two, Becoming Changemakers, will lead participants through the sometimes daunting task of “where to start” when fighting injustices and ensuring human rights are being honored in our local communities and beyond. Students are welcome to join one or both sessions.
