A new chapter begins!
The Film Festival that we all love and look forward to is in its 20th year and getting an exciting update. Introducing The JCC International Jewish Film Festival - emphasis on the International! This change reflects our commitment to bring you a diverse and empowering cinematic experience from Jewish communities around the globe.
Our fall schedule for the JCC International Jewish Film Festival is set, and we have plans to bring you new films throughout the year so you can enjoy the most up-to-date, exceptional films as they become available. The first film outside of our fall schedule will be screened in February 2025!
From Hollywood to the #MeToo movement to the United Nations, October H8te exposes the hypocrisy and double standards and the sense that Israel “had it coming." Ultimately, the film answers the question of what's at stake. It's not just about the Jews or Israel – it's about democracy and freedom itself.
From executive producer Debra Messing and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Wendy Sachs, October H8te is a searing documentary about the explosion of antisemitism on college campuses, on social media and on the streets of America after October 7th. The film features interviews with Debra Messing, Michael Rapaport, Mosab Yousef (son of Hamas's co-founder), Sheryl Sandberg, Scott Galloway, US Rep. Ritchie Torres, US Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, US Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt, Dan Senor, Noa Tishby, Bari Weiss, and a survivor from Nir Oz.
A conversation with Rutgers Hillel Executive Director, Lisa Glass, follows.
