Join former JCC Adult Enrichment Director Barbara Weisbart for a discussion on the book West with Giraffes (not necessary to have read the book). Barbara will share highlights from this delightful, award-winning historical fiction novel. The story is inspired by true events in 1938 when two young giraffes survive a hurricane when crossing the Atlantic and the events that follow. The book is part adventure, part historical saga, and part a coming of-age love story. We'll discuss the book's theme of how grace, healing, and redemption can be found in the most unexpected places.
