This non-fiction book traces the hidden history of seventy synagogues that once anchored Jewish life across South Jersey, from rural farmlands to Atlantic City. Built by immigrants, farmers, shopkeepers, and Holocaust survivors, these congregations flourished for nearly 150 years before many disappeared amid changing times and development.
