Join Hazzan David F. Tilman, cantor, conductor, and Jewish music educator as he prepares us for the sacred holiday of Yom Kippur, only four days away, by taking us through the Jewish musical highlights of Yom Kippur services. We'll look at videos of cantors singing Kol Nidre, learn about the history and theory of High Holiday music, and then join together with Hazzan and his accordion reviewing Yom Kippur music. We shall sing together the traditional Kol Nidre chant, Avinu Malkeinu, the famous Kaddish tunes, and many other melodies. The High Holiday music brings us all together with our past, present, and future. Bring your powerful voices and your Jewish musical memories.
