New Jersey earned its nickname as the “Crossroads of the American Revolution” by hosting more battles, encampments and other significant sites than any other colony. This lecture explores how geography, military tactics, politics, civilian involvement and local loyalties shaped the war’s outcome in the Garden State. This program is made possible in part by a 2026 HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) Grant from the Union County Board of County Commissioners.
