Promised Lands by Sharon Ann Musher tells the remarkable story of her grandmother, Hadassah Kaplan, a young American Jewish woman who’s 1932 travels to Palestine and beyond shaped her lifelong commitment to Zionism, philanthropy and women’s issues. Drawing from diaries, letters and photos, Musher weaves a vivid portrait of Kaplan’s journey and the broader experiences of a generation of adventurous Jewish women navigating identity, purpose and gender roles across continents.
