While Jewish achievement in other arts such as music or painting has gotten proper recognition, the art of architecture seemingly has been overlooked. With Moshe Safdie’s Habitat in Montreal still going strong, Tel Aviv’s Old City being designated a World Heritage Site, Daniel Libeskind’s World Trade Center design and Frank Gehry having recently completed the tallest residential tower in Manhattan, now seems to be a great time to explore the Jewish contribution to the art of architecture!
