In Opening Doors, historian Hasia R. Diner explores the unexpected bond between Irish and Jewish Americans in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The book offers a nuanced portrayal of this relationship, highlighting Irish Americans’ contributions to Jewish success while also acknowledging the challenges of antisemitism.
