Love Letter from Pig by Julie Kabat tells the story of her brother Luke, who joined the Mississippi Summer Project in 1964. Inspired by Jewish values and deeply moved by the murder of civil rights activists, Luke’s time in Mississippi was marked by activism, arrest and efforts to support the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party.
