Following a series of revolutions in Colonial America, France and Central Europe, Jews were granted civil and political rights, freedom of movement and entrance to many new professions. It was widely expected that full social equality would follow. Instead, we have witnessed the annihilation of six million of our people, and continued efforts to destroy the Jewish state established in the wake of the Shoah (catastrophe).
