A story of global travel, personal growth and family responsibility through the lens of 15-year-old Jane in 1970. Jane was trapped: in high school in Dallas, and trapped in service to her mother, a polio survivor who used a wheelchair. When her parents sold their business in 1969, they withdrew Jane from high school to travel the world. Jane was pushed to reckon with her dual role as responsible daughter and as a teen in the late 60s/early 70s. Proud partner of the Jewish Book Council.
