This presentation will begin with a brief history of energy use from past to present and then a look at what energy is using basic physics. The talk will include a discussion of the various types of renewable energy available to our society today.  Any discussion on energy use would not be complete without a look at the politics and economics behind why we are reluctant to move too quickly towards replacing oil and gas with cleaner and free renewable energy sources. Sponsored by The Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
