Sheryl Intrator Urman will speak about what most Americans consider their favorite kind of art: Impressionism. Gain an overview of the life and times of artists in France in the late 1800s, learn why these rebellious artists wanted to break away from the traditional academic art and how changes in the world helped them create a new form of art which is now loved the world over. Learn why artists like Monet, Renoir, Degas, Cezanne and Pissarro were looked at as radicals of their time. Sponsored by The Van Winkle Foundation.
