Steve has worked as a sportswriter at The Star Ledger for almost a quarter century, covering nearly every major sports event imaginable from the Olympics (six times) to the Super Bowl (too many to remember). Sports, to him, are more about the people who compete than the games themselves, so he will talk about his favorite stories along the way and the athletes who have left lasting impressions. In addition, as a veteran of journalism in the state, he will talk about changes in the industry and being thrown into the fire with The Star Ledger’s COVID coverage.
