Man in the Basement

Sunday, October 23 • 5:00 p.m.

Director: Philippe Le Guay
Language: French with English subtitles
Running Time: 114 minutes

In this tense psychological thriller, a sinister standoff erupts when a Parisian couple sells the basement of their apartment to a seemingly well-mannered former teacher hiding his secret life as an anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist. As the couple attempts to cancel the sale, the increasingly threatening buyer befriends their naive teenage daughter, and turns the family’s world upside down. Provocative and superbly acted, this film based on a true story will keep audience members on the edge of their seats.
