Our very own New Jersey Jewish News bureau chief, Elaine Durbach presents her debut novel about love lost and found drawing on her four decades as a journalist, interviewing people in South Africa and the U.S. – the result is a story of love that combines the human dynamics and social forces that have fascinated her in both societies.  Round­about is a fic­tion­al love sto­ry about a woman whose long­time lover has just died. Sal­ly, a dance teacher and the child of Holo­caust sur­vivors, has lived in fear of loved ones sud­den­ly dis­ap­pear­ing, and Felix’s death trig­gers deep soul search­ing. The sto­ry opens with heart­break, but it ends with heal­ing and new appre­ci­a­tion for Felix’s love, and the love she shares now with his children. Proud partner of The Jewish Book Council.
