Singapore, a city-state at the southern tip of Asia, has had a Jewish presence for almost all of its 200 years. Founded by Baghdadi traders, the community has seen British, Japanese, Malaysian and now Singaporean rule. In recent decades it has become more international with Jews from Israel, U.S., Europe, South Africa and Australia. Pam and Marc Intrater were residents from 2005-2015 and helped to grow the only reform congregation in over 1,000 miles.
