Daniel Kramer, the cantor of North Shore Jewish Center on Long Island, released his debut album in December, a wonderful collaboration with 9-time Grammy winner, The Manhattan Transfer’s Janis Siegel and Grammy-nominated jazz pianist John Di Martino. Join as they play tracks from this exciting new album, share stories of how this unlikely collaboration came to be, and what it was like recording and producing an album during a global pandemic. It’s an album of Yiddish and Yiddish-composed classics reimagined entitled Mazel and includes some traditional, some jazz, some Latin and more. This program is in collaboration with Arts & Culture and is sponsored by a generous donation from Phyllis Bernstein in honor of her mother.
