Then and Now: The Paris Photo with Jane Gabin
Tuesday, March 23, 2021
11:15 am - 12:15 pm
Virtual EventSet in Paris near the end of WWII (and the present), this story is based on truth, inspired by the actions of the author’s father, and thoroughly researched. It tells of a young U.S. Army soldier who arrives in Paris and forms a friendship with one particular mother and son. The repercussions of this relationship carry forward into the present day. With the frightening rise of anti-Semitism and xenophobia today, many of the book’s messages are especially meaningful. Sponsored by Iris Teen Tzedakah Grant.
