Golden Dimes
Golden Dimes are: Avi Dimes – drums, vocals KS Dimes – guitar, vocals Sonny Dimes – keyboards, vocals Van Dimes – guitar Jo Dimes – bass guitar. Suburban New Jersey has long been a hot bed breeding ground for humbly inspired counter-culture music. There must be something about sitting in traffic on your way to a strip mall that allows for such inspiration to catch and be captured, written and recorded for posterity. Golden Dimes is the collaboration of five suburban dads, all lifetime musicians brought together by fate and a mutual love of great food and drink, tasteless jokes, and positive vibes. The band recently released new music, "Light as Love", a breezy jam about toxic relationships and emotional freedom recently featured on SiriusXM. Both JJ's House and Uncommon Cents were recorded at Restoration Sound in Brooklyn NY and produced by Jason Spiewak (Benjy Davis Project, Pat McGee, Ernie Halter, Chris Volz) and Lorenzo Wolff (Edie Brickell, Steve Forbert, Steve Earle, Randy Newman). The music was mixed by Nate and Dan Monea of Hey Monea fame at Little C Studios in Canton, OH, and mastered by Cass Anawaty at Sunbreak Music in Scottsdale, AZ. To date, Golden Dimes offer thirteen songs carrying messages of unity, self-awareness, and responsibility thoughtfully viewed through the lens of generation Xers wishing to do good in the world. The band’s music is contemporary with classic sensibilities, blending keys, guitars and organic drum sounds with vocal harmony.
Becca Shaffer
Avi Wisnia
Award-winning singer/songwriter Avi Wisnia presents an eclectic mix of refreshingly original songs and inventive covers, finding inspiration in Brazilian bossa nova, acoustic American folk, 1950’s west-coast jazz, and contemporary pop. Avi’s clever lyrics give a knowing nod to his contemporaries, while his smooth vocals and deft piano skills assure you that this is truly something new. Avi tours in support of his debut album, Something New, performing in prestigious venues around the world – from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City to The Kennedy Center in Washington DC to concerts in Japan, Poland and Brazil. His latest single “Sky Blue Sky” was recorded via satellite between Philadelphia and Brazil, winning recognition from the Philadelphia Songwriters Project and MidAtlantic Songwriters Competition. In addition to being a performing songwriter, Avi Wisnia has given a TED talk and performed with The Moth storytellers.
Bryan Hansen
Singer songwriter Bryan Hansen has been performing since the age of 15. He learned how to play the guitar at 11 when his father re-strung his Fender Stratocaster that had been collecting dust under the bed for over 10 years. In 2009, Hansen recorded his first solo EP called "Ebb & Flow," a concept recording about a relationship from beginning to end. His first full length album, Brothers Among Wolves, debuted in August 2013. The album was recorded by Producer Stephen Kaminski and featured 18 different musicians from the New Jersey music scene. After performing 86 shows with the studio musicians from Brothers Among Wolves, Hansen paired up with musicians William Blakey & Cwan Merritt to perform with him as a Trio. Bryan Hansen Band's sound is a mix of funk, rock, soul and R&B with music influences from Stevie Wonder, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Al Green and Victor Wooten. They have been compared to The Weeknd, Harry Styles, Maroon 5, The Jonas Brothers and Post Malone.
