Ninja Warriors by Child's Play Challenge

Calling all mini ninjas!  Our multi-station obstacle course is specially designed just for kids!  Program participants will build important gross motor skills, develop muscles, increase cardiovascular fitness, and gain confidence in a fun and playful setting.  Each week will focus on a specific station of the course.  Through games and drills, skills will be developed in order to overcome the obstacles and reach desired goals.  It all culminates in the final week at the Crush the Course Showdown - complete with medals, certificates and an awards ceremony!

Smarty Cat Kids

Build it, test it, launch it!  Fun with mixing together ingredients in order to explore their properties and see how they change and react.  There will be a variety of projects such as learning how to make the perfect slime, creating color changing key changes that react with UV light and more!  New curriculum!

Ballet

This class teaches positions, how to follow basic ballet movement, stretching, jumping and dancing with props.  Ballet story time is a special treat. The children will learn through dance games and creative movement which is always a tiny dancer’s favorite part.

Ballet/Tap

This combo class begins with fundamental ballet emphasizing technique jumps, and the second part of the class teaches rhythmic beats with tap shoes! Fun and upbeat (and loud ;)!

Gym/Jazz

TEKI Tycoon (15 week session, no class 2/18 and 4/14)

This summer during our Young Entrepreneurs Camp Week, campers voted TEKI Tycoon as their class choice this Fall Semester! Now it's your turn child's turn to enjoy it! Students will develop business simulation games in real world economic environments.

This class includes barre, center and across the floor. Class will consist of strength exercises, musicality, improvisation, creative movement and class etiquette (varies each week).  We will end the class with high-energy fun choreography with the most popular songs.

Jazz/Hip Hop

A dynamic and energetic age-appropriate movement class which incorporates technique. The class will also concentrate on rhythm, flexibility, choreography, gymnastics, style, self-expression, confidence building and fun.

Wednesday (17 weeks) 

Chatterbox

Taught by a licensed speech language pathologist, this social language group was created to improve language-based social thinking and empower each student with the tools for social communication.  We will work on conversational skills and social development while utilizing age-appropriate, engaging activities.  This group will foster self-confidence through activities such as role-playing, cooperative games, storytelling and understanding emotions.  Most importantly, children have fun while they are learning!

Healthy Manners

This class will expose your child to the exciting world of healthy food!  Children will learn healthy eating habits and make kid friendly healthy snacks each week which will include fruits and vegetables. Here's the manners part...they will also learn table manners, how to use their "indoor voice" in restaurants, how to place an order, what you can and can't eat with your hands and so much more!  The children will play games, do crafts, hear stories and learn fun facts about healthy foods and manners.  They will put together a small cookbook of all the recipes they make in class.

Martial Arts, which teaches self-discipline, socialization, concentration and self-control, will introduce your child to the basic skills of karate to give them a solid foundation.

Introduce your child to educational technology in our exciting programming and coding class for beginners.  We will explore the hardware and software of computers. Additionally, we will learn how to code using multiple programs, including the popular Minecraft. Join us for an hour of code every week this semester.

Little Earth Worms

Little explorers have muddy fun in this creative play/learning class. Children are encouraged to touch, play, learn and listen with activities outdoors. They get connected with the world around them with fun activities like planting, digging, and making mud pies - increasing their awareness, independence and creativity.

Tumbling on the Fun Bus

The Fun Bus is overflowing with over 40 pieces of equipment to entertain your child.  Our Fun Bus coaches lead the children through a warm-up period and then provide expert assistance and encouragement as the students work their way around the obstacle course tumbling, jumping, balancing, swinging, hopping and sliding in our structured classes in a safe non-competitive environment.  Every week there is a new theme with its own complementary equipment allowing for continued gross motor development.

Yoga

This fun yoga series teaches poses, breathing, meditation and more.  We will explore yoga through stories, crafts and aromatherapy, all while encouraging self-expression.  We will also focus on social/emotional skills like the ability to identify and regulate emotions which are key skills for this age group.   Let's build a community of conscious little yogis together!

All CDE classes run January - May.
Winter/Spring dance classes allow for a one week trial.  There will be no refunds for classes dropped after the first week. 
More challenging choreography variations, partnering and staging are taught as the students progress. 
Boys are welcome in all dance classes.

Dance visitation week will be Monday, May 4 - Friday, May 8 at the JCC. 
During this time, recital costumes can be picked up along with sign-up for pictures and hair appointments.

Dance Class Requirements:

• Dance clothing is encouraged - comfortable, moveable clothing such as a leotard, leggings, tights.
• Hair should be tied back and off the face.
• Nude tap shoes are needed for tap.
• Jazz shoes should be nude.
• Nude jazz shoes are also used for Hip Hop.
• Pink ballet shoes are used for Ballet.
• $100 costume (tights included) fee paid separately.  Fittings will be done in class during the month of January.
• Recital dress rehearsal is Thursday, May 28 at Terrill Middle School, time TBD, and recital is Sunday, May 31 at Terrill Middle School, time TBD
