Shira Gladstone, Camp Director
Shira has been attending day and resident camps every summer since she was 3 years old! A true camp lifer she eagerly began her full-time camp career right out of college and has spent the last 20 years rising through the industry ranks to now bring a 'camp with intention' approach to her leadership style. She provides a wealth of staffing, programmatic, and operational knowledge to camp each day and can't think of a better camp to lead than Camp Yachad! Her camp expertise has lead her to be a standards visitor for the American Camp Association, a past contributing writer for ACA's CAMPING magazine, and current co-chair of the JCCA Day Camp Professional Peer Community. For Shira, it's not just about living '10 for 2', it's about infusing the magic of camp into all 365 days of the year! Shira lives in Scotch Plains with her husband Michael and their two boys (and Yachad campers) Emmett & Asher.

Cathy Pizzella, Associate Camp Director
Cathy has been part of the Camp Yachad family for nearly 25 years! Starting as a counselor and working her way up as a Travel Unit Director and Camp Registrar, there is no one more suited to be the Associate Camp Director than Cathy! She is at the forefront of camp planning, scheduling, and year round engagement and supervises the enrollment of every camper – speaking with each family personally throughout the year! Still a travel counselor at heart, she is proud to be responsible for every aspect of our amazing travel program, from staff hiring and supervision to trip planning and execution – no one knows our travel program better than she does! For Cathy, being the associate director is not a job - it's a way of life! Her favorite part of her role is having a personal connection to many of our families and community members! Cathy lives in Cranford with her husband Timmy, their 3 children Sadie (2nd Generation Yachad Staff), Grace and Jackson (Yachad Campers), and their dog Oakley.
