10 Basic Steps for Financial Planning for Special Needs Caregivers
Presented by MassMutual, Special Needs Financial Planning Division

Thursday, November 12 • 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.

This workshop will discuss 10 basic steps to help caregivers get started in preparing for the financial future of their dependent with special needs. As a caregiver of a dependent with special needs the single most important issue on your mind, regardless of the age of the dependent, is what will happen to my dependent after I’m gone. There are some needs that will always be present and they must be carefully considered and planned for appropriately. This workshop addresses such critical issues as applying for government benefits for Social Security and Medicaid, creating a Special Needs Trust, the importance of a will and considering a Letter of Intent. Taking these 10 basic steps now can help ensure the type of care and quality of life for a loved one’s well-being today and tomorrow.

Special Needs Trusts Workshop
Presented by MassMutual, Special Needs Financial Planning Division

Monday, December 7 • 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Trusts may provide supplemental resources for an individual with special needs. Under various circumstances, not having a special needs trust may adversely affect an individual’s eligibility for government benefits. This workshop will provide an overview of different types of trusts, important considerations in naming a Trustee, funding options, and how to get started in creating a properly drafted special needs trust.

Private Swim Lessons for Children with Special needs (all ages)

This one-on-one 30-minute aquatics class, taught by our trained swim instructors, is ideal for children with special needs.  Lessons are adapted to each child's specific needs and limitations.  For more information, please contact Kim Koza at [email protected].
Single Lesson: Price: $44/session, Member Price: $38/session
Five Private Lesson Package: Price: $220, Member Price: $190 
Ten Private Lesson Package: Price: $396, Member Price: $342

Lessons must be paid for by the first day of class.  Private lessons must be completed over a 6-month period.  In the event of cancellation, please notify the instructor or Aquatics Director at least 2 hours prior to the start of the lesson.  If 2 hours notice is not given, you will be charged the cost of that lesson.  No credit given for uncompleted lessons.
