Inclusion and Support Services

The JCC of Central New Jersey is committed to the inclusion of people of all abilities, backgrounds, denominations, gender identity and religious affiliations into all of our programs. We are committed to making our Wilf Jewish Community Campus a barrier-free environment and our programs equally inclusive. We believe inclusion is an attitude, not an activity. Inclusion is belonging.

We are happy to work with individuals and families to provide accommodations, to the best of our ability, to ensure that everyone can participate meaningfully.  We can provide the following accommodations during most on-campus programming and can discuss other accommodations as needed.  Please email Beth Mitchell, Director of Inclusion and Diversity at bmitchell@jccnj.org.  We require a minimum of 2 weeks prior to an event to request accommodations.

  • Closed-caption service for virtual programming (for speech or hearing difficulties)
  • Large print materials
  • Chair with arms for added stability
  • Preferential seating near a presenter
  • Presenter to use microphone
  • Closed captioning for virtual events
  • Personal assistive listening device to amplify sound
  • American Sign Language interpreter (requires 30 days notice)
  • Noise reducing headphones
  • Wiggle seat
  • Sensory fidget tools
  • Provide ingredient lists, when available, for food allergy awareness

If you would like to be added to our mailing list, please click here for the request form.
