Director of After School Services

Regular full time 40 hours, overtime exempt, Department Supervisor, reports to Director of Youth Operations
Essential Functions

Oversee daily operations of the After School at The J Program including but not limited to:

  • Manage all Daxko Operations pertaining to After School
  • Oversee all After School space requirements via SchoolDude
  • Supervise and manage After School staff
  • Coordinate busing from schools; routes and student numbers
  • Organize staff/student absence communication and proper staff/student ratios on a daily basis
  • Manage monthly student schedule changes; update Daxko & database
  • Work with Youth Program Director to hire vendors for After School Specials
  • Manage the schedule for all After School Specials
  • Manage the After School Budget
  • Plan and implement all Vacation Day Programs though out the school year
  • Manage all Daxko Operations pertaining to Vacation Days
  • Oversee all Vacation Day space requirements via SchoolDude
  • Organize daily schedule
  • Work with Youth Program Director to hire vendors for Vacation Day Programming
  • Attend bi-weekly supervision meetings to update Supervisor on status of the After School Program; weekly if needed
  • Attend weekly Early Childhood Admin meetings
  • Summer position TBD in Camp Yachad day camp program (8-10 hrs/week for 8 weeks)

  • Elementary Educational Experience preferred

Department Collaborative Responsibilities

  • Assist in at least two family programs per year (Camp/School/Afterschool)
  • Participate in department/JCC holiday initiatives
  • Participate in department/JCC social action projects
  • Assist Early Childhood prior to the After School program hours

Physical Demands

  • 3-4 hours of stationary work – working at a computer prior to program starting
  • 2-3 hours of moving – daily monitoring of staff/children during program hours
  • Lifting 10-15 lb. boxes of material when needed


The JCC of Central NJ seeks a dependable female porter with custodial experience. General duties will include cleaning/janitorial, restocking of restrooms, as well as other related tasks. Commercial building custodial experience is a plus. There will be immediate consideration for qualified candidates. Part-time to full-time w/ benefits opportunities. Lifeguards and Swim Instructors (Part-time positions)
