FY18 Annual Report

HaDerech (The Path) One of our greatest resources is our JCC membership. HaDerech, the JCC’s lay leadership development program, is a powerful way to harness the strong and varied talent within our membership. HaDerech is a longstanding, prestigious program at the JCC, and the FY18 class was a special one. Upon completion of the program, they all felt motivated and inspired and passionately embraced their new roles as ambassadors, leaders and example setters. Many of them immediately jumped in and are serving on various JCC committees. “HaDerech was such a learning experience for me. HaDerech educates and inspires participants to learn about our larger Jewish communal infrastructure and how our JCC fits in. HaDerech examines what it means to be a Jewish communal leader and ambassador. “HaDerech helped me find my way – my journey – to a deeper connection to Judaism. Both here within the local community, and more holistically, as I grapple with what being Jewish and raising a Jewish family means to me in the world today.
