FINANCIAL OVERVIEW
FY19 was a strong financial year for the JCC. Several factors contributed to our first significant operating surplus in several years. With the change in fiscal year timing, for the first time we began our year with Camp Yachad, and experienced a very successful summer. Our school and after school programs continue to flourish, and membership numbers are also healthy – all contributing to the positive financial results. Additionally, fund development – a critical new focus – has helped to bolster our JCC financial profile. Our community invested nearly $178,000 in our annual fund, and our J-Embrace matching grant raised a total of $210,500. Overall, this operating surplus reverses a trend which had been eroding our net assets and instead allows us to re-invest in our JCC by setting aside funds for future capital needs, assisting people who are struggling financially and rewarding our dedicated JCC professionals. We are proud of and energized by these results and are so grateful for our generous and supportive JCC community.

This Impact Report is dedicated to Michelle Sion, who worked in the JCC Aquatics Department for over 20 years.
Michelle passed away on January 9 after a courageous battle with leukemia.
This is an apt place to honor Michelle as she had a major impact on so many.
She dedicated her life to teaching countless JCC children how to swim.
She was a kind, compassionate person who was loved by all who crossed her path.
Michelle will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the great pleasure of knowing her including her JCC family.
We were so lucky to have had her as part of our staff.
May her memory forever be a blessing.
Thank you for letting us share a bit about our JCC of Central NJ community.
We are a vital part of our community because of our wonderful members, donors, partners and community supporters.
Thank you!
