Jewish Discovery Zone
Join us for the second year of this beloved program. Learn about and celebrate Jewish holidays through songs, stories and crafts. Meet other families, enjoy snacks and a light supper and have a blast! For children ages 3-6 and their families.

Beyond the Blessing: Jewish Parenting Discussion Group Back by popular demand!
Join this moderated parenting discussion group that began last year with the Blessing of a Skinned Knee Family Matters program. Participate in this lively interactive discussion of the challenges and rewards of parenting from a Jewish perspective. Sponsored by J Connection and the Jewish Federation of Central New Jersey. No previous participation necessary. Babysitting will be available.

Setting Appropriate Limits for Today’s Children

With children today being influenced in many ways–through television, advertising, music and more–parents need effective skills for setting limits based on their personal values. This workshop by Julie Ross, a psychologist and Executive Director of Parenting Horizons, will give you easy to implement, proven techniques that empower parents and children alike. This is a joint program by J Connection and the Jewish Federation of Central NJ.

Basic Judaism: The Parents’ Toolbox for Building a Jewish Home
Are you raising Jewish children but feel you don’t know enough about Judaism yourself? Don’t miss this opportunity to expand your knowledge of Jewish ritual and practice, Jewish history and texts and more. This three-session program will also present additional opportunities for learning in the community. A great class for Jews who want to learn more about their religion, people of other religious backgrounds or Jews-by-choice. This class will be taught by local clergy and educators. $18 for three sessions
