Vacation Day Programs

The JCC Vacation Zone is just the place for your children on school vacation closings.  Whether it's a soccer clinic, a trip to the Big Apple Circus or the Liberty Science Center or a day of activities at the JCC "Camp Yachad-style" there's sure to be something for those days when school is out!

JCC Kid Zone and Kindergarten Wrap participants receive JCC member rates and get to stay until 6:00 pm.

3 - 4 years: JCC Early Childhood vacation day programs for ages 3 and 4.  Programs are typically scheduled from 9:00 - 1:00 pm.  Play Zone child care is available from 1:00 - 6:00 pm (Regular Play Zone (babysitting) charges apply).

Grades K- 5: Awesome trips and JCC-based activities for children Grades K - 5.  Programs run from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Programs for children 3 - Grade 5 will run on the following vacation days during the 2012-13 school year:

There is no Vacation Day program on Columbus Day, Monday, October 8; the JCC is closed for Shemini Atzeret

Tuesday, November 6 - Election Day
Thursday, November 8 and Friday, November 9 - NJ Teachers’ Convention

Monday, December 24, Wednesday, December 26, Thursday, December 27 and Friday, December 28 - Winter Holiday

Monday, January 21 - MLK Day of Service - No Vacation Zone Day

Monday, February 18 - Presidents’ Day (Vacation Zone is cancelled for this day due to full make-up day of school being rescheduled by the Scotch Plains and Westfield school districts)

Thursday, March 28 and Friday, March 29 - Spring Break (JCC closed Monday, March 25 at 3:00 P and Tuesday, March 26 and Wednesday, March 27 for Passover)
