Steve DeAngelis, General Manager
Steve earned a Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Sport Management at Southern New Hampshire University.  He completed his undergraduate education at East Stroudsburg University while obtaining a B.S. in Sport Management and playing college football.  Steve is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  He’s also CPR /AED and First Aid certified through the Red Cross Association.  Steve also specializes in sport specific programming.


Deborah Price, Fitness Director
Debi has worked in fitness for over 25 years, 13 of which have been here at the JCC.  Certifications include: ACE, Spinning™, Punk Rope, HIIT, and Pilates.

Vincent Costantino, Personal Trainer
Vincent is a certified personal trainer of World Instructor Training Schools (WITS) and has certifications in G ball training. He is also certified in CPR/AED, Red Cross for adults, children and infants and has a bachelor’s degree from Bloomfield College, NJ.  Vincent feels exercise should be a life time commitment: challenge yourself using good form and body alignment and keep it fun and enjoyable. Vin also enjoys teaching a walking club for Active Adults and Seniors at the JCC.



Rebecca Schaffer, Personal Trainer 
Rebecca owned her own personal training business in Manhattan for five years and prior to that worked at Golds Gym in Manhattan as well, doing both personal training and group fitness. Her 'Butts n' Guts' class got written up in Time Out NYC as a class not to miss. She has trained everyone from ultimate fighters to retired active adults and many in between.  Rebecca believes a commitment to your health is the best investment you could ever make for you and your family.

Matthew Sych, Personal Trainer
Matthew is a certified American College of Sports Medicine Health Fitness Specialist. Matthew graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Exercise Science. He also holds a CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross. Matthew’s area of specialization is in overall health and fitness. He enjoys training all types of people with all levels of fitness, from sports performance training to senior fitness.

Mark Cicuera, Personal Trainer

Mark is a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and also holds degrees in personal training and nutritional consulting from the National Personal Training Institute. Mark’s area of specialization centers on functional movements, post-rehabilitation and strength and conditioning basics. As a former high school and collegiate athlete, Mark focuses on helping young athletes reach peak physical performance in their given sport, as well as building a strong foundation that will work to prevent future injuries.  TRX training is another one of Mark’s specialties, and he encourages everyone to make it a staple in their routine.

Mindi Samer, Personal Trainer
Mindi is an ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified personal trainer. Mindi is also a certified group exercise instructor as well as an advanced Pilates instructor. Mindi carries the American Red Cross CPR/AED and first aid certification.  She enjoys working with children and introducing them to the benefits of exercise. Mindi is a spin instructor for children as well as adults.


Shamil Abdullah, Fitness Staff
Shamil joined the team in January 2012 with several years experience working at the JCC, wearing many different hats.  He is studying to get certified as a personal trainer.

Denise Creekmur, Massage Therapist
Denise is certified through the NJ State Board of Massage & Body Works as well as  Level II Reiki Certified.  She is  also CPR & First Aid Certified.  Denise believes that every client is unique and special and that each individual deserves a session designed exclusively for them. The end result is to insure supreme balance, promote and maintain healthy circulation and elimination of waste as well as restore energy and ultimate wellness over all.

Michele Frost, Massage Therapist
Michele is a certified NJ State Licensed Massage Therapist. She has additional certification in a variety of specialized massage therapies and  is CPR/First Aid (American Red Cross) Certified. Michele conducts an assessment of each client’s needs to provide individualized massage that can promote circulation of blood and lymph fluids, relax muscles, relieve stress and pain, restore metabolic balance and renew energy. Michele is passionate about massage therapy and would love the opportunity to share its benefits with you.
