Teen Action Service Corps (TASC) for grades 9 – 12

The TASC Leadership Seminar, for students in grades 9 - 12, is an experiential learning program that incorporates intensive leadership symposiums, group volunteer experiences and social programming in a fun year-long adventure!

"A leader is someone who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way."    - John C. Maxwell

This quote will be the framework for this year's TASC program.  Our goal is to give participants the knowledge, skills and values to make each person a successful leader in their Jewish community and their community at-large.  In order to accomplish this, participants will engage in four intense Leadership Symposiums. Participants will also take part in group service projects in our community through Jewish Family Services of Central NJ and the Jewish Federation of Greater Metrowest. These projects include (but are not limited to) The Big Give, MLK Day of Service, J-Serve Day of Service (planning and participating in the day), The Community Food Bank in Hillside and Touch a Truck at the JCC of Central NJ.

Here's a look at TASC INSPIRE:

TASC INSPIRE* is a component of TASC which was created to help teens put their passion into action. In this inaugural year, TASC INSPIRE aims to teach teens how to apply their leadership skills in real life, through making a philanthropic impact on the JCC Community. Through a generous donation the teens will have an opportunity to grow their “seed money” through fundraising and ultimately allocate funds to support new and innovative programming at the JCC of Central NJ. This program aims to be a vehicle for teens to grow their leadership skills through real-life experience and ultimately leave a lasting legacy at the JCC.
