Adult Class Descriptions
Adult Masters Workout
Masters swim workouts are a terrific, non-weight-bearing way to improve your cardiovascular system and stay fit. Our coaches will help swimmers to finesse stroke techniques, improve endurance and encourage a healthy and safe swim routine.
Beginner/Intermediate Adult Masters Swim Workout
This small-group class will address beginning fitness swimmer questions and problems. Do you get "out of breath" when you swim? Learn proper technique and enjoy swimming laps with our expert instructors.
Aqua Jam will work on strengthening muscles, improving cardiovascular efficiency and increasing overall flexibility. All with great music! Workouts are in both shallow and deep water using training aids. Participants don't have to know how to swim, but they should be comfortable in the deep water. Excellent for prenatal moms and seniors. Free for members.
Be a Triatlhete in an Hour! for ages 12+
60-minute Timed Indoor Triathlon at the JCC using the indoor pool, Spin studio and Fitness Center
Sunday, April 19 • 2:00 p.m. • check-in at 1:30 p.m.
Here are the details:
10-minute SWIM • 5-minute transition period • 20-minute BIKE • 5-minute transition period • 20-minute RUN
The male and female to log the most total combined miles win! Prize: $100 in JCC Bucks!
Be a Triathlete in an Hour! Training Package
Under the guidance of our fitness and aquatics staff, train ahead of time for Be a Triathlete in an Hour!
2 30-minute personal training sessions, 1 30-minute massage and group swim lessons (either the winter or late winter sessions)
Start any time after January 4! The winter group lesson session begins on January 4 and the late winter group lesson session begins on March 2.
Create Your Own Aquatics Class
This option is perfect people who cannot find a class that fits their schedule. Class size is 4-5 swimmers who should be roughly the same swim level. Six 30-minute sessions: Member: $100/child, Community Participant: $150/child • full cost must be paid at time of booking • contact Michelle Sion at x219 to set up class
Personal Training on Aqua Spin Bikes
Train with Debi Price in these 45-minute sessions. Email Kim Koza at email@example.com to set up these unique personal training sessions. Available are: Tuesdays 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., Wednesdays 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and Thursdays 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
