Back for its second year, this event provides a unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types including public service, emergency, utility, construction, landscaping, transportation, delivery and just have FUN – all in one place! Children will be allowed to touch their favorite vehicles, get behind the wheel, climb, explore and learn! Food trucks and music will also be part of the day’s entertainment. Camp Yachad will be on the campsite with bouncing and games...and the unveiling our our brand new ROCK WALL!
The event will be free and open to the community and will run rain or shine. Dollars raised from sponsorships allow us to make this event free and will support the JCC's Camp Yachad. While we offer all of the fun of summer, one would expect from a day camp, because we are a not-for-profit agency and a JCC, our camp is a little different. We give back and we build community. For families who couldn't otherwise afford day camp, we offer scholarships to ease financial burden. For families of children with special needs, we have "shadows" who work with these children so that they too can enjoy the magic of camp in an inclusive environment. We have a thriving teen program where we educate our young adults about philanthropy and leadership so they develop into strong contributors to our community.
