Stephen will bring alive the legendary Catskills, home to poets, gangsters, idealists, prize-fighters, tycoons and many others. The Catskills witnessed the introduction of steamboat travel, the opening of the Erie Canal and the rise of New York City. The Catskills also tell stories of the Civil War, immigration, the two World Wars and the nation’s development. Stephen will share the growth and decline of this fascinating region.
