Start your week off right! This primarily cardiovascular & strength workout offers variety at its best! An interval class consisting of fun, high energy cardiovascular exercises and strength training using dumbbells, resistance tubing and stability balls. No class is boring, and all classes are taught for all levels to attend.
Strength Pyramid
This total body class focuses on achieving muscular strength through simple choreographed exercises targeting all muscle groups. A pyramid combines high weight/low repetition and low weight/high repetition. This is a perfect class for someone looking to build strength but who may be intimidated by machines in the Fitness Center. Think of this as a group personal training session – with great music and a lot of personality!
GroupFit Classes
Body Architect
This is a complete strength training class that targets every muscle in your body. It's more intense than toning and will take you to the next level in your fitness goals. Effective for men and women!
GroupFit Kettlebell Training - Grab a friend and take advantage of our first GroupFit (small group training) program, Kettlebell Training, a strength training workout using cannonball shaped weights designed to:
• Improve core strength and conditioning
• Increase balance and muscular power
• Burn fat and help you lose weight
With certified personal trainer, Thomas Zara, you will work in a semi-private training environment where you’ll have fun melting fat and gaining strength with a focus on you! Ballet-Barre Method - The fat burning format of interval training, the muscle shaping technique of isometrics and the elongating principle of dance. All levels welcome.
Total Body Sculpt - Focus on toning and strengthening your muscles using various pieces of equipment (dumb bells, body bar, resistance bands, step, balls, and more!) This class is designed to teach you proper form and execution of many different exercises while putting emphasis on tone, strength and flexibility. A light cardiovascular warm-up and flexibility based cool-down will round out your hour. Learn the basics here and don’t be afraid to try these moves on your own! All levels are welcome.
Upper Body Blast
Same as Total Body Sculpt, but shorter - and only focused on upper body conditioning!
BOSU® – Achieve a balanced workout (no pun intended!) BOSU® is the exercise equipment used for cardio and body sculpting. It offers a challenge to your balance and stability. Step onto the dome-shaped BOSU® and transform your body while having fun.
Crazy Cardio Interval
Instructor's choice is the theme here. Each week experience a surprise cardiovascular and strength interval class. Step? Kickboxing? Hi/Lo? Bosu? All of the above? Who knows?! No class is boring, and all classes are taught for all levels to attend. Open your mind to the FUN!
IntenSati - A revolutionary workout, fusing high-energy aerobics, martial arts, dance, yoga and strength conditioning. Combining spoken affirmations with simple choreography, intenSati provides a heart-pumping, exhilarating workout that builds physical, mental and spiritual muscle.
Lo-Impact Cardio Fusion
A gentle but challenging class, participants will focus on functional movements to help them expand or maintain their fitness level. Lo-impact cardiovascular exercises are safe for your joints because you always have one foot on the floor. Exercises are designed to improve balance, strength and flexibility for the new and gentler exerciser.
Pilates – Think “long lean body”. Learn the fundamentals of Pilates including proper breathing technique and proper core stabilization. This workout designed to strengthen your core with emphasis on your abdominals, back and hips. You will experience a feeling of lengthening as well as strengthening. All levels welcome.
Spinning™ – Take a cardiovascular journey focused on high and low intensity heart rate training. Listen to the music and challenge your body, close your eyes if you want to! Whether it’s climbing a steep hill or sprinting past your opponent, you will learn to balance heart rate and breathing to achieve optimal cardiovascular health. Great for all fitness levels because you can control your own bike resistance – in this class, you will get what you put into it. Your instructor will coach you on heart rate training, so bring a heart rate monitor if you have one. Water bottle and towel are a must! All levels welcome.
Yoga - The practice of yoga can positively change the health of your body and mind. Relieve stress and tension. Relax and elongate your body through guided stretches and breathing. Muscles lengthen and strengthen, joints become free and the natural relaxation response is enhanced. Yoga has proven beneficial to people with numerous amounts of health challenges. Gentle yoga offers a more beginner level.
Zumba™ - Zumba combines high energy, captivating music with Latin inspired moves that will leave you asking for more. Think Dancing With The Stars is fun to watch? Try some similar moves for yourself! Zumba is a “feel good” workout geared toward all levels. Think you’re not a dancer? No problem! We bet you’ll find the dancer within. All levels welcome.
Tai Chi is characterized by gentle movements combined with breathing techniques to build balance and strength. It improves overall health and helps to alleviate stress and chronic diseases.
