Mike Goldstein
2010 will be Mike’s 6th summer at Camp Yachad, and his 4th as Camp Co- Director. During the rest of the year, Mike is the JCC Program Director, where he supervises the Cultural Arts & Education, Adult Enrichment, and Youth & Teen Program Departments. Before joining the JCC staff in September 2004, Mike was a Camp Program Director at two different private day camps: Liberty Lake (Columbus, NJ) and Meadowbrook Country Day Camp (Long Valley, NJ). Mike credits his experience in both for-profit and non-profit sectors with giving him a well-rounded understanding of best practices in camping. Mike believes that a camp’s most valuable resource is its staff, and he is convinced that the Camp Yachad staff is the absolute best!
Besides Camp Yachad, Mike’s main passion is music. He holds an MA in Musicology from the University of Rochester Eastman School of Music, and still loves to play bass guitar in Camp Yachad’s own band, the Shabbatones, every Friday afternoon. Mike lives in Fanwood with his wife, Carol, and two daughters who think “Yachad Rocks”!
Jodi Hotra
Jodi has lots of experience working with children. As a graduate from the University of Delaware with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies and a concentration in Education, Jodi worked as an Assistant Teacher in preschool before coming to the JCC of Central New Jersey as the Youth and Family Services Director. After many years of being the Youth Director, Jodi moved on to be the Travel Camp Director and then the Assistant Camp Director before becoming the Camp Co- Director. Jodi wishes it could be summer all year long! During the rest of the year, Jodi is the JCC Program Director, supervising recreation departments (athletics, aquatics) and family special events.
In her spare time Jodi loves the outdoors. She is an avid snow boarder and loves to relax on the golf course after a long workweek. Jodi lives in Morristown with her husband Eric and daughter/future Yachad camper, Alexis.
Randi Zucker
Randi has been working at Camp Yachad for six years and this is her third summer as the assistant camp director. Randi’s background is in marketing and public relations. She graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. and an M.B.A. in Marketing. Her JCC career began as the Public Relations Director and she moved on to Camp Yachad after her second camper was born. Yes, camp is a year-round job and Randi enjoys every jam- packed minute of it! During the rest of the year, Randi is the director of family special events, where she envisions and plans, along with her committee, events such as Kids Fun Fest and Daddy/Daughter Dance.
When not gearing up for camp, Randi enjoys spending time with her husband Jonathan and two children. They have fun together going skiing, watching sports, traveling and just hanging out!
