Transportation: The JCC offers roundtrip bus transportation service for all campers ages 3 and older (with the exception of the 2-day 3-year-olds and late-night trips) at no additional charge. Campers ride both ways unless they are enrolled in our early-or late-stay programs.
Lunch and Snacks: We provide snacks, and plenty of water to keep our campers energized each day! All food served by Camp Yachad is Kosher. We ask that you respect our Kashrut (dietary) laws by sending a dairy lunch each day or pre-ordering lunch fromJerusalem Pizza and café . All lunches will be refrigerated with the exception of lunches belonging to campers in travel programs. Insulated bags are provided for travel campers. Pizza lunch is provided for all units once each week except Chalutzim.
Health Forms and Insurance: Each camper is required by New Jersey State law to submit a health form completed by a parent or guardian and a physician. Health forms are included with this registration form. The forms must be returned no later than May 2, 2011, in order for campers to participate in any camp program. JCC members are covered by a group accident medical program. JCC coverage is secondary to members’ primary health coverage.
Camp T-Shirts: All participants in the Camp Yachad program are required to wear a camp T-shirt each and every day of the summer. Two complementary T-shirts will be provided to each camper (1 shirt provided to 2 day campers). Extra T-shirts may be pre-ordered at the time of registration. They will also be on sale at all parent orientations in June.
Parent Manual: A comprehensive parent manual will be mailed to all registered camp families in May. This manual contains important information regarding camp policies and procedures. Please be sure to read all of this information and keep the manual on hand during the camp season for easy reference!
Children With Special Needs Inclusion Program:
Whenever possible, Camp Yachad serves children with disabilities alongside their neighbors and friends. Camp Yachad is committed to seeking outside sources of funding to provide shadow staff assistance to campers requiring one-on-one attention. Shadow staffing costs that are not funded by outside sources will be passed on to families. Special needs camp group space is limited, campers are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
