Day trips for adults age 60+ are featured throughout the year. Previous trips have includes excursions to Grounds for Sculpture, Princeton Art Museum, Museum of the Moving Image, and the Culinary Institute of America. Blood Pressure Screening
Blood pressure screening is available at no fee to Senior Social Members on Wednesdays at 11:45 a.m.

Special Events for Older Adults

Jewish Art and Artists: A Three-Part Lecture Series
Wednesday, October 10, 24, 31, 10:30 a.m.
Noted art educator Barbara Israel Bortniker, M.F.A., will present lectures on the following topics:
October 10 —Famous (and not so famous, but still fabulous) Jewish Artists of the 20th Century
October 24—Rembrandt: His Fascination and Affection for Jews and the Bible
October 31—Art and Artists of Modern Israel
Fees: $5/Individual program, $10/Three-part series
This lecture series is made possible with funding from the Union County Division of Cultural and Heritage Affairs. It is co-sponsored by the Cultural Arts & Education and Senior Adult Services Departments.

Day Trip to the Philadelphia Art Museum
Thursday, November 1
Travel by coach bus for a day trip to this acclaimed museum. The highlight of the trip will be a chance to view the exhibit of Renoir landscapes. Bus leaves the JCC at 8:30 a.m. Attendees are responsible for their own lunches.

Thanksgiving Celebration
Wednesday, November 14, 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The Senior Adult Services Department is sponsoring this festive luncheon celebration of the holiday, complete with traditional dishes like turkey, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, vegetables, and beverages.
Fees: $7/Senior Social Members, $7.50/JCC Members, $8.50/Community Participants

Transportation
Free round trip, door-to-door transportation to the JCC is available
Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for residents of Union County. The Union County Para-Transit System, the Red Cross, and the JCC provide transportation.  

Meals
Kosher lunches are served at Noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays The JCC is a designated kosher nutrition site funded by the Union County Division on Aging.  Kosher lunches are provided three days a week for a suggested donation of $1.50 per day.  24-hour notice is needed for people planning to have lunch here.  Menus are published a month in advance.

Union County College LIFE (Learning Is For Ever)
Courses are offered at the JCC two days a week.  These college level classes, taught by Professors from Union County College are offered free of charge to all residents of Union County over the age of 60.
