Youth Basketball League

Youth Basketball Leagues are now forming for Kindergarten through eighth graders for in-house competition. Qualified athletes (JCC members only) can compete for the new travel league to compete against other organizations. Games are played from December through mid-March.
Rookies Basketball League (Grades 1 & 2)
Games: Sundays 1:15 and 2:15 p.m.
Volunteer parent coaches will conduct one evening a week practice and games will be played on modified age-appropriate equipment. League is open to members only.
AA Basketball League (Grades 3 & 4)
Games: Sunday afternoons and weekdays
Volunteer parent coaches will conduct one evening a week practice and coach games which will be played on 10-ft rims with official size balls. Team play and team spirit will be fostered. League is open to members only.
AAA Basketball League (Grades 5 & 6)
Games will be held on Sundays and during the week. League is open to members only.
AAAA Basketball League (Grades 7 & 8 )
Games will be held on Sundays and during the week.
AAAAA Basketball League (Grades 9 & 10 )
Games will be held on Sundays and during the week.
Youth Basketball League Travel Team (Grades 3 & up)
All participants in Grades 3 and up who are registered to play in the house league will have
the chance to try out for our travel team. this select team will play in the Garden STate Basketball League; they will have games during the week in the evening and on Sundays.

• Sunday classes (4 weeks): no class February 17, 24, March 16, 23
• Monday classes (7 weeks): no class February 18, March 24 (after 3:00 p.m.)
• Tuesday classes (8 weeks): no class March 25 (after 3:00 p.m.)
• Wednesday classes (8 weeks): no class March 26 (after 3:00 p.m.)
• Thursday classes (8 weeks): no class March 27 (after 3:00 p.m.)

Join over 6,500 Jewish Teens from around the world for this week-long Olympic-style sports event! The JCC of Central New Jersey is now recruiting members for their JCC Maccabi Games® delegation for Summer 2007. We will be putting together sports teams to compete in this year's games in a number of different sports.
The JCC Maccabi Games® are open to Jewish teens ages 13 to 16. Sports classes, leagues and weekly open play are available for athletes of all ages. Play basketball in the Eisenberg Gymnasium’s full court or sign your kids up fo rgolf, soccer, gymnastics, Israeli Ga-Ga, flag football, and more. JCC athletic classes are as unique as our philosophy: sportsmanship and team work are emphasized while everyone plays and everyone wins!
Athletics Policies
Quality instruction is provided to participants of all ages. Classes will run with a minimum of 6 participants. All participants must wear sneakers.
Eisenberg Gymnasium
The gym is open for member use if there is no class, event or game scheduled. Contact the Athletics Director at x 208 for details. Gymnasium rental is available for full or half court on an hourly basis; contact Joanne McKeown x 208 for details. Our gymnasium is utilized for various special events organized by the JCC and Jewish Federation.
Sports Parties
Contact Joanne McKeown ext. 208 to plan a sports party for ages five & up. Parties include one hour in the gym and one hour in a private room.
